Our Mission
We are a vibrant, innovative Jewish community, rooted in Torah and tradition, and committed to lifelong learning and social action. We embrace the fullness of human diversity by creating an inclusive space for every Jewish journey. We honor each individual and family, foster sacred relationships, and strengthen the bonds of communal connection.
Our Vision
The founding of our congregations reflected periods of optimism and opportunity in Jewish life. Now in an era of new developments and modes of Jewish life, that same optimistic and entrepreneurial spirit guides the unification of our two communities in service to Jewish Pittsburgh and our neighbors. It imagines a center for Jewish life that will be both familiar and new.
Grounded in the prophetic values of the Reform Movement, the new center we imagine will expand outward in response to changes in the ways that Jews identify with Jewish life and practice today, including all of its spiritual, intellectual, social, and cultural richness. Moreover, we strive to be in dialogue with the larger Pittsburgh community and beyond, underscoring the roles that Jews play in civic life. To realize this vision, we commit to the following principles:

We will connect with the diversity of Jews regionally, nationally, in Israel, and globally, amplifying all that we share in common.
As it has been since our two congregations were founded, our vision is a place where tradition meets innovation, where every person finds opportunities for connection, service, and transformation.
